New dates for our next training and a campfire recipe for a family friendly winter warmer. |

The first snow is finally here and we're bedding down for winter, but who is still practising outdoors? |

Hello nature lovers, We find in our sessions this time of year the trees are so bare that we can see the bird nests and the birds themselves, and we're able to watch the blue tits, robins and long tailed tits, and get sight of some of our rarer feathered friends in particular the nuthatch. |

Working outdoors with mother nature as a co-therapist, we notice how the snow and ice here in Glasgow have been providing a challenging natural risk for some of our clients. Alongside building skills with carving and fire activities, we notice our clients can begin to drop their guard, and some of their defence mechanisms, and begin to interact in a more age appropriate way. We love how the seasons offer something different to support therapeutic practices. |

Sophie has spent much of the last ten days delivering forest school with ASN groups and foraging for winter wreath-making workshops with community groups. We love getting our hands on natural materials for crafting and the therapeutic benefits. |

|
We recently hosted an Eden Project Online Networking zoom call and loved the positive feedback we received. Shuna is delighted to be delivering a module on the Therapeutic Forest's Certificate of Therapeutic Skills for Outdoor Leaders, and if you're looking for training or guest speaker spots please be in touch. |

Looking to take your practice into nature but don't know where to start? Are you working outdoors already with clients and want to deepen your practice? Want to learn more about protecting confidentiality and boundaries in outdoor spaces? Our course gives participants skills and resources to begin their journey taking clients outside and working with mother nature as a co-therapist. What we teach is grounded in person-centred therapeutic approaches and brings together Play Therapy and Forest School principles and brings in how to work practically with the elements of earth, wind, fire air, water and ether through the seasons, providing a reflective framework for developing ongoing practice. |

These look nice and smell amazing too! What you will need:- Oranges Apples Limes Lemons Cinnamon sticks Star anais Raffia Scissors BBQ skewer or children's darning needle Method You can buy dried fruits or cut fruit into thin slices width ways, lay out the fruit in dehydrator or on oven trays and switch on. The length of time largely depends on the size of fruit, and how powerful your oven is. Then string them together, there's no right or wrong way to do it! | | |
