What is Jersey's Long Term Care (LTC) scheme?

The long-term care scheme in Jersey provides financial support to residents who need long-term care for the rest of their life. This can either be in your own home or in a care home.

You qualify if need significant help with everyday tasks such as getting out of bed and dressing.

The scheme aims to remove any worry you may have about the cost of long-term care. How much financial support you receive depends on what level of help and support you need and what you can afford to pay.

If you cannot pay for your care costs, the scheme can help to cover these costs. 

If you can contribute to your care costs, the scheme can support you with care costs, once you have paid for your care costs for a period of time.
